Gratitude Sunday

And just like that, it's Easter Sunday!
It's been about 4-5ish weeks of working from home now for everyone. Crazy how fast these past couple weeks have gone by. Today, while watching Easter Sunday mass from home, the priest continued to say, "Love love, and love always".

During these very uncertain times, I think we all need to pause for a moment and spend time being thankful that you are safe, secure, and in a home filled with love. It is easy to get that, "I can't concentrate" mentality during our work weeks. And that, "ugh I wish I could just go out and see my friends" urge. Please remind yourself, with you being home, not only are you keeping yourself and those in your home healthy, but you are making a difference in society by not being out and spreading or being exposed to the virus.
I wanted to share some small things I've been doing each day to keep me present and grounded during this time that can quickly make people anxious or nervous.
I suggest at the beginning of each day to write down three things you are grateful for. It can be anything from, "I'm grateful for the sunshine this morning" to "I'm thankful and grateful that I had a bed to sleep in last night". This quickly reminds you of every little blessing in our lives.
I also have been writing down the little things that put a smile on my face, or make me happy through the day. This is my, "Things I Love" list. Sometimes it's a memory of a time spent on vacation. Sometimes it's a TikTok of a baby I watched that gives me the giggles. Or sometimes it's just something like, "I love the smell of morning coffee". It's a completely different mindset you begin to have, and truly appreciate the little moments throughout the day. I have found that instead of dwelling on uncertainty in our lives or the unpredictability now, it's best to acknowledge the things you love in life and really take the time to enjoy them while you have the time at home.

Just a little something for all my little peeps out there! Hope you have had a blessed Easter Sunday, and continue to stay safe, secure, and in a house full of love! LOVE LOVE, and LOVE ALWAYS!
-with all my love, SB
